❖ A respectful and listening presence.
❖ A listening ear that is attentive and active, that does not judge or give advice.
❖ A perspective that focuses on what is essential, while respecting the dignity of the person, their beliefs, and customs.
❖ A special moment for sharing one’s personal story.
